How to Find the BIOS Version on a Toshiba Portege M400-S4031

The Toshiba Portege M400 was one of the first tablet notebooks to use an Intel Core Duo processor, which was supported by 512Mb of RAM and an 80Gb hard disk. The screen can swivel between portrait and landscape modes, and automatically changes the screen orientation to match. Like other laptops in the Toshiba range, in order to access the BIOS, the Toshiba HWSetup program is run from within Windows. This adds a graphical front end to the BIOS options, and allows the user to modify the settings and save the changes.
